What times of the day do students study best?

It has been revealed that students are believed to study best at lunchtimes rather than perhaps first thing in the morning or later in the day or early evening. I went to speak to a fellow first year student studying Computer Science, Dominic Emm, about how he feels about this and whether or not he agrees with this statement.

From this you can understand that this may be the case, however of course this is only one student’s opinion. Dom mentioned his brain being in full gear during the middle of the day, with him being too tired in either the morning or at night, so it is likely he doesn’t fully take in the information given to him by his lecturers. He also went on to say that he would prefer earlier lectures than later ones as it gets him out of bed, and able to study during the day in free periods.

I do think that this is true, from personal experience I prefer lectures and seminars in the middle of the day, a personally I learn and take in information better.
